Prayer Requests (updated November '09):
The past six months have been very challenging and emotionally difficult for us.  In July, Eric traveled to the village of Unalakleet to be at a memorial service for a student from last year's class who committed suicide.  As we have shared before, many of the students that come to us are carrying the weight of incredibly difficult issues.  Alcohol and drug use, emotional scars from physical and sexual abuse, exposure to suicide...these experiences are all too prevalent in the lives of many Alaska Natives.  The weight of these issues often prevent our students from fully committing to and sticking with the AEC program.  It breaks our heart to see many of them leave.  We pray that God would guide and direct us in identifying better ways of ministering to and helping our students.

• We praise God during this difficult season that we have been able to know God's care and provision.  We have seen growth in our own hearts and continue to see Him at work in the lives of many students in our community.
  
• We praise God for You!  We are so very grateful to know that many of you regularly lift us to the Lord in prayer and are encouraged each month by the donations that come in to support our family being here.
  
• Pray for a healthy pregnancy for Meghan.
  
• Pray for past, present, and future students...that the love of God and the hope we have in Jesus Christ would be real to them and guide their decisions on a daily basis.
  
• Pray for AEC staff members...that we would daily seek God's guidance and wisdom in ministering to those He has placed in our care.
